Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanavath Phonvichai Dear Partners, Warmest greetings from University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC). In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic that affects every part of our lives around the globe, UTCC, as your international partner, would like to express our deep sympathy to you, your colleagues and the people in your country who have suffered the loss or illness of the loved ones. Thailand, as one of the countries also affected by the virus outbreak, has imposed various pro-active measures issued by our government and implemented nationwide. One critical measure is the closure of promises and places at risk of being sources of the COVID-19 transmission. Educational institutions at all levels across the country, including UTCC, must follow the order. In connection with this regulation along with our concern on safety and well-being of students and staff, UTCC has completely suspended its on-site operations from 22 March 2020 and will continue the closure till 30 April 2020. Given this unprecedented situation, I, on behalf of UTCC colleagues, would like to reassure you that our UTCC family members, both faculty and staff, are still fully and safely operating from home, offering uninterrupted teaching and non-teaching services to students and partners locally and internationally. We have moved all academic courses online using both our existing and new digital platforms. In terms of international collaboration, online commutations can regularly be continued, for either on-going or future partnership programs. Our long-lasting friendship will not be suspended. Lastly, I wish for a speedy recovery of this global situation. UTCC stands ready to implement any in-person meetings and collaborative programs with you, once the crisis subsides. By standing together, we will get through as a global community. Sincerely yours, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanavath Phonvichai President
