Andreas Sami works as a power and transformation catalyst for prominent private and public sector clients around the world. He is the co-founding manager of Y-Motions International, a boutique consulting firm based in Vienna, Jerusalem, and Paris and, as of early 2021, also in Bangkok. He is a lecturer and executive trainer in organizational sociology, management practice, cross-cultural management, negotiation, entrepreneurship, and social capital for private and public sectors. He currently teaches at the International School of Management at UTCC and is a regular guest lecturer at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, the Ban Ki Moon Center for Global Citizenship, and the United Nations University training practicing diplomats in cross-boundary leadership, multilateral negotiation, and cross-cultural management. He has taught the flagship course ‘Cosmopolitan Leadership for a Complex World’ at the Austrian School of Management and Ecole Centrale in Paris.

He has worked as a Senior Advisor to Presidential and Ministerial Offices in the Middle East as well as a Team Leader designing and implementing public sector reforms and private sector development programs in Mozambique, Jordan, Palestine, UAE, Oman and Ghana. He provides executive coaching services for managers engaged in internationalizing their companies. He is writing a book on Cosmopolitan Leadership and developing a platform for Asian Gamechangers.

Yasmi is a scholar of International Relations (IR) and has been teaching at the University of Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) since 2016. In teaching, he often stimulates students to get more attracted to the theories and practices of IR and diplomacy. Chief among his taught courses and research interests are International Organizations, Diplomacy, Global Governance of Intellectual Property, ASEAN, Islam and World Politics, Global Halal Industry, English for IR, and so forth.

He used to serve as the Director of Cooperation/Head of International Office from 2017 until 2020. Through this assignment, he built connectivity and cooperation with national and international partners (universities, companies, governments, and civil society), facilitated MoU signings, and oversaw their implementation. Prior to that, he extensively played a role as diplomat at the Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and overseas postings in Geneva and Nairobi.

He was a negotiator or involved at multilateral negotiations such as WIPO, WTO, WHO, Disarmament, UN General Assembly, UNEP, G77, Asian-African Summit, and ASEAN Summit.
