Embassy of Finland Visits UTCC

On 4 March 2021, UTCC welcomed the delegates from the Embassy of Finland and discussed various areas of collaboration between Finnish and Thai universities.

During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

  • The Embassy shared the Talent Boost Program, Finland’s startup culture focusing on sustainability
  • Student and faculty exchange opportunities between Finnish universities and UTCC- Connection and development of Double-degree options in the field of Engineering
  • Organization of Finnish Ambassador’s talk session for UTCC students.
  • International internship opportunities for UTCC students

From the Embassy of Finland, Mr. Kimmo Pekari, Special Advisor Trade and Economic Affairs, Ms. Gitta Hagg-Lundvall, Coordinator Talent Boost Program, Ms. Teeranuch Richiravanich, Office Administrator, Team Finland, joined the meeting.

From UTCC, Dr. Jakarin Srimoon, Vice President for International Relations, Ms.Parichart Thammajinda, Head, Office of International Relations, Dr. Nattapan Buavaraporn, Dean, International School of Management, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suwannee Adsavakulchai, Program Director, School of Engineering, Dr. Jaratchwahn Jantarat, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, School of Business attended the meeting.

MOU Signing Ceremony with Satit Bilingual School

On 2 March 2021, the MOU signing ceremony between University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Satit Bilingual School (SBS) was organized at UTCC. From SBS, Dr. Apiramon Ourairat, Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Paveena Sitthichoktham, School Director, Mr. Heinrich Fourie, Head of Schools and Ms. Issareeya Thanatkulapa, Secondary School Principal, attended the ceremony.

From UTCC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sataporn Amornsawadwatana, Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research, headed the meeting joined by the Office of International Relations and International School of Management team.

After the MOU signing ceremony, the two parties had an in-depth discussion on the upcoming activities plan:

  1. SBS showed keen interest in UTCC’s two-degree program with University of Newcastle (UON), Australia. Under the pandemic situation, it is a good option for the SBS students to earn an Australian degree in Thailand.
  2. UTCC shared the information about guaranteed internship opportunities for the UON two-degree students supported by AustCham Thailand.
  3. UTCC invited SBS students to attend “Design Your Life”, a career-oriented short program from Stanford University at UTCC.
  4. SBS invited UTCC team to SBS campus and promote our programs to SBS students.
